This was such an awesome day! It was a beautiful day for hiking, and the kids did pretty good overall. We hiked 6 miles total. Dallin hiked all the way to Red Lake (3 miles) and then we carried him back in the backpack. But still very impressive for a 3 year old!

Dallin loved getting his new paints for his 3rd birthday. Dallin was able to concentrate on a project for long periods of time. He really began loving art around this age and especially building things from scratch after he had dug through the garbage. We called him the "dumpster diver" and would often find boxes, cardboard pieces and other scrapes glued to his many projects.
Dallin was very enthusiastic to help make cupcakes for his birthday. We spent the day together gathering ingredients from the store and planning his birthday party... and I reminiscing Dallin's birth and the joy he has brought me these past three years. I can't explain it in words, but being a mother to such a sweet, good, happy and beautiful little boy is the greatest and sweetest gift any mother could know.

Oh my sweet Dallin, you are growing so fast. I love you so very much!
